Constructed in the year 1424 by Sultan Ahmed Shah I. The architecture standing in Ahmedabad is as famous and spectacular as the one that is standing in New Delhi. Also called Jumma Masjid or Jami, Jama Masjid is one of the most happening and striking destinations in the city of Ahmedabad. According to mythology, the construction of this architecture was done with the pieces that were taken from the Vandalized Jain and Hindu Temples. This huge and beautiful structure is supported on almost 260 pillars which are adorned with beautiful intricate carvings and also the interior of this yellow stone mosque glitters with colorful natural lights.
Also called Hare Krishna Mandir, this huge and gorgeous temple is one of the most alluring architectures in western India. This beautiful temple is spread over a huge area of almost 4 acres and is adorned with fountains established between the beautiful gardens, and also with the colorful scented flora. However, the temple is mostly dedicated to Lord Krishna and her love Goddess Radha but one can find a number of idols dedicated to other Hindu gods and goddesses. The premise of this temple is always filled with the devotees reciting “Hare Rama Hare Krishna”. This ancient architecture was constructed in the year 1411 by Sultan Bhadra and since it is reckoned as one of the most popular travel destinations in Gujarat. One can find a huge Bhadra Kali Temple, a majestic palace, and a lush green courtyard in the premise of this fort. According to interesting Hindu mythology, once Goddess Lakshmi visited this majestic fort and blessed the king that his kingdom and the city will always be flooded with wealth and also blessed with lifelong prosperity. It is still believed that there are numerous rice stacks buried somewhere deep inside the fort.
The other popular tourist destination in Ahmedabad which runs under the maintenance of Sarabhai Foundation which is one of the most ancient textile industries or museums in the country.
