This five storey tower is the tallest tower in the country measuring 73 meters in height with pillar of iron in the courtyard that did not rust though over 1000 years old. Constructed with red sandstone, it features various architectural style ranging from Aibak or Tughlaq times.
There are many other things to check out in the Qutub complex like Quwwat Ul Islam mosque, iron pillar which is 7 meters high, and Iltutmish tomb close by. This tower was first made of 3 storeys and the top most 2 marble Minars was done by Firoz Shah Tughlaq.

Jantar Mantar is one of the biggest solar observatories in the country. It was originally constructed by Maharajah Jai Singh II for getting the planetary moments and sun or astronomical measurements as he wanted a large instrument.

Now, as there are other taller structures in the surrounding regions like tall buildings, the accuracy of the structures are going down. View the magnificent structure with a nominal entry fee. This ‘lotus’ shaped temple structure is situated in the national capital, the latest of 7 such ‘Bahai houses of Worship’ built around the world. The best time to see the place is at evening when the lights reflect the waters around the lotus structure. Photography is done outside in the lovely gardens but is prohibited within the temple.

This place is one of the most peaceful and lush garden areas in Delhi. When you visit at morning you will find the morning joggers having a great time and some doing yoga. Groups or families also go for picnicking here. This is also a haven for birdwatchers as many rare birds come to the smaller lakes within the gardens.
There is a flowering aroma and there are many things to see inside the gardens including the Bonsai Park, tomb of Sikander Lodhi, Shish Gumbad and Bada Gumbad which dates back to fifteenth century. Entry and photography is not charged and you can visit anytime for a refreshing time.

This park breeds rare in house creatures, houses a reptile home, a library, around 200 species of trees and over a thousand animals including 100 animal species.
Walk around and sit on the benches or travel in an electric van for little more charges in the zoological park spread across 86 acres. The best time to visit national zoological park is from October to March.

The eastern side of Rajpath gives a view of the Rashtrapati building that is the official residence of the President. There are attractive gardens around called Mughal gardens that gives a breathtaking sight but for entry you need to take prior permission. Elephant structures welcome at the gates and top of pillars. The gardens are open to all during two months February and March.

The black marble stone memorial commemorates the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi where he was cremated after he was assassinated. There is also a nature park surrounding the memorial and there are also other memorials in Raj Ghat situated closely including Veer Bhoomi, Shanti Vana, Shakti Sthal, and Vijay Ghat.
There is a picture, photographs and a sculpture where the Gandhian philosophy is given. The Raj Ghat is located on the river banks of the famous river Yamuna.

This was once the official residence for the first prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru Memorial museum has many works of him including documents, digitized manuscripts and pictures and his private study.
